One of the things I really love about Tahoe people is their love of dogs. Having a dog is part of the active lifestyle at Tahoe, and most everyone I know has at least one dog. Dogs are considered members of the family around here, and so when a new member comes, it is only natural to have a portrait done! I’ve been doing doggie portraits for Betsy for a long time, about 20 years or so, and I have to say, I think Gerkin is probably the cutest of the batch! He is only ten weeks old, and I put him on a chair instead of a posing table, for safety reasons, but the little cutie still wanted to try and jump off! We would put him in place, and I would hurryhurryhurry take a picture, he would move to the edge, Betsy would place him again, I’d hurrytakeapicture again, and we did that over and over again. He’s a very photogenic little doggie, all the photos were adorable, but I especially liked this one because he was looking right into the camera.
